Nanilica and a bedtime story
A short story about Mica the little monkey and the magic meadow, for reading at bedtime with a cup of Nanilica. For children aged 3 to 8, and for grown-ups who love to read aloud.
TeaWelton NanilicaSee the tea →Behind the big hill, where the sun sets last, there is a magic meadow. Mica lives there, a little monkey with green eyes and a tail curled like a heart.
Every evening, when the sky turns purple, Mica walks around the meadow. She says hello to the white chamomiles, which have already closed their petals, and smells the mint, which smells of summer even in the dark.
“Good night, chamomile. Good night, mint,” Mica whispers, and with every whisper a firefly lights up on the meadow, one by one, like tiny lamps.
Then Mica picks one mint leaf and one chamomile flower and takes them home. Mum puts them in a warm cup, and the whole house smells like the meadow.
Mica sips slowly, watches the fireflies through the window and thinks of everything she will see tomorrow. And before the last sip, her eyes close all by themselves. Mica is fast asleep. Good night to you too.
Tip: Little ones love a milder Nanilica: let the bag steep 3 to 5 minutes and serve the tea lukewarm, just right for small hands. Mica is also waiting for you in the game “Mica and the magic meadow” on our site.
