An evening ritual with a cup of chamomile

The day is done and the phones can wait. Five simple steps to a quiet evening with a cup of Welton chamomile, no rush and no screens.

Step by step

  1. Pick your cup. The one you love most, not the one closest to hand. A small sign that this time is just for you.
  2. Boil the water and pour 200 ml over a chamomile tea bag. Cover the cup with a saucer to keep the aroma in.
  3. While the tea steeps for 5 to 10 minutes, switch off the main light and leave just a lamp on. Put your phone on the charger in another room.
  4. Take out the bag and, if you like, stir in a teaspoon of honey once the tea has cooled a little.
  5. Sip slowly, with a book, quiet music or a chat. The best part of the ritual is that nothing has to get done.

Tip: If you have chamomile every evening, try it now and then with a slice of lemon or a fresh mint leaf.
